YouTube Preview ImageMy great friend, Claire, from San Jose, California, asked if we had planned to publish an article about the latest Cartier ads. And that made me realize the obvious : Although I had enjoyed watching this commercial on TV for the last two weeks or so in France, we had not said a word about it on our blog. To me, this ads is one of the best story-telling advertisements ever created. All elements such as company values, luxury inspiration, history of the brand and key icons are represented in the journey of this memorable panther. This is a must watch again and again!

 

Less is definitely still more

The use of simplicity and minimalism in graphic design is a strong and apparently longlasting trend. It is fascinating to see how a good minimalist design can get the message across in a powerful way. A  simple, stripped-down ad is often a very effective way to attract attention and awaken people’s interest. Keeping it simple may be a way to make your campaign stand out from a sea of competitors. And as Leonardo da Vinci so wisely said; “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
